It's Not Just Policemen Who Are Getting Younger...
....nuclear physicists are too.
Jackson Oswalts (of Memphis, Tennessee) parents rather worryingly bought their 12 year old son over $10,000 of equipment that he kept in his bedroom that was able to heat deuterium gas with 50,000 volts of electricity within a vacuum chamber smashing the atoms together to release energy. He posted his results on the Fusor.net Forum and became the youngest person ever to have created a nuclear reaction.
Fortunately, Memphis is still on the map and young Jackson will no doubt go onto a career as a Bond villain or suchlike.
