Dr. Mithu Storoni , a neuroscientist and author of Stress Proof: The Ultimate Guide To Living A Stress Free Life which is published this month has highlighted Tetris, the 1980's block matching game as the ultimate relief from trauma.
When you are suffering trauma your brain keeps replaying it, looking for a solution. This constant rerunning only serves to magnify the issue and build anxiety. Picking up your mobile at this point and playing Tetris will, apparently consume the brain so that you won't focus on the issue but instead on matching the blocks.
Gradually your mind will create the space to resolve the issue, apparently.
Maybe, MP's should play Tetris rather than debate Brexit and interminably work out how we'll leave the European (Tetris) Block?
